Advanced Industries is an AS9100 Aerospace Certified Supplier and is required to ensure that our purchasing process complies with all applicable purchasing requirements. These Aerospace Purchasing Requirements are supplied to your company as an addendum to the Purchase Order issued to your company for services and/or products.

In addition to the specifications, drawings, process requirements, inspection instructions and/or other relevant technical data that is contained with, or specified on the Purchase Order, your
company is being notified of, and required to, comply with the following additional requirements:

  1. Limitation on Use or Disclosure: Supplier shall never disclose any confidential information to any person or entity outside without express written permission from Advanced Industries, Inc.
  2. ITAR Compliance: Advanced Industries is ITAR registered. ITAR regulations require that any product details including data, drawings, images, etc., provided to the supplier shall not be disclosed to foreign persons.
  3. Calibration Requirements: Calibration service providers are required to provide evidence that all calibrations are performed with standards traceable to NIST.
  4. Quality Management System: Implementation of a quality management system is required.
  5. Approved Suppliers: Use of customer-designated or approved suppliers, including process sources (e.g., special processes), is required.
  6. Nonconforming Product Notification: Supplier must notify Advanced Industries when nonconforming processes, products, or services occur and obtain approval for disposition.
  7. Change Notification: Supplier must notify Advanced Industries of changes to processes, products, services, suppliers, or manufacturing location that may affect compliance, and obtain approval prior to modification.
  8. Flow Down Requirements: Supplier shall flow down applicable specifications and requirements, including Advanced Industries requirements, to sub-tier suppliers.
  9. Record Retention: Retain applicable records as specified in the Purchase Order for a minimum of 15 years, including retention and disposition requirements.
  10. Right of Access: Advanced Industries, its customers, and/or regulatory authorities retain the right of access.
  11. Verification Activities: Acceptance of notice of any verification or validation activities that Advanced Industries or its customer may perform at the supplier’s premises.
  12. Counterfeit Parts Prevention:
    • a. “Work” consists of parts delivered under the Purchase Order that are the lowest level of separately identifiable items (e.g., articles, raw materials, components, goods, assemblies).
    • b. “Counterfeit Work” means unlawful or unauthorized reproductions, substitutions, or alterations knowingly mismarked or misrepresented as authentic.
    • c. Includes unlawful substitution such as used work represented as new, or false identification of grade, serial number, lot number, date code, or performance characteristics. “Suspect Counterfeit Work” means work with reasonable doubt as to authenticity.
    • d. Supplier shall not deliver Counterfeit Work or Suspect Counterfeit Work.
    • e. Supplier shall purchase products only from the original component manufacturer (OCM)/original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or authorized distributors unless approved in writing by Buyer with appropriate risk mitigation.
    • f. Supplier shall maintain counterfeit risk mitigation processes consistent with industry standards and Purchase Order requirements.
    • g. Supplier shall immediately notify Buyer if Counterfeit or Suspect Counterfeit Work is identified and provide traceability documentation upon request.
    • h. This clause prevails over conflicting authenticity provisions in the Purchase Order.
    • i. Supplier shall replace Counterfeit Work at its expense and be liable for all related removal, replacement, and testing costs. If authenticity cannot be proven for Suspect Counterfeit Work, it shall be treated as Counterfeit Work.
    • j. Supplier shall provide certification upon request that Work does not contain Counterfeit or Suspect Counterfeit Work, including traceable documentation and supply chain identification where required.
    • k. Supplier shall communicate counterfeit control requirements to sub-tier suppliers.
  13. Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance: Suppliers and contractors shall comply with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations in all countries where they operate.

As an approved supplier to Advanced Industries, we request that you ensure your personnel are aware of the importance of ethical behavior, and of their contribution and impact on providing safe, defect-free services and/or products that meet your company’s, Advanced Industries’, and our end customer’s expectations.
